Chairman, Anioma Delta Baptist Conference, Rev. Dr. Monday Opone has urged Christian leaders to prepare their hearts to go with the Lord God Almighty for them to be able to deliver on the Mandate.
Rev. Dr Opone spoke as a guest speaker at the Anioma Delta Baptist Conference Men’s Missionary Union’s Annual leadership training held recently in Victory Baptist Church, Asaba, Delta State.
Dr Opone said the training tagged, “The Heart Of A Leader,” was an opportunity for Leaders in MMU of the Anioma Delta Baptist Conference to prepare their hearts to go with God for them to be able to fulfill God’s purpose as leaders.
“You cannot be a good leader when your heart is not right with God. A leader’s Heart must be right with God and Man.
“You are called into position or Leadership for a purpose and it is for you to deliver the purpose for which you are called.
“If your heart is not prepared to go with God, you cannot deliver, but if you are prepared to go with the Lord God Almighty, no matter the challenges, you will see yourself going forward delivering on the purpose,” Dr Opone said.
The Anioma Delta Baptist Conference Chairman further said when a leader’s Heart is right, the leader would be able to ask the right question, even as he further stated that, “no matter the knowledge you have gotten, if your heart is not right, you cannot ask the right question and you cannot make any impact.”
Dr Opone, taking his teaching from Psalm 78:72 revealed the State of a heart of leader and also the characteristics of the leader that God uses.
