Immediate past Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon Ndudi Elumelu, OON, has congratulated the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori on his conferment of the prestigious THISDAY/ARISE Governor of the Year Award.
The award was bestowed on the Governor by the Management of THISDAY Newspaper and Arise Television on Monday, January 27, 2025 at a well-attended ceremony in Lagos.
Rt. Hon. Elumelu, in a statement on Tuesday, described the award as a well-deserved recognition of Governor Oborevwori’s outstanding performance and a testament to his tireless efforts and unwavering commitment to the development of Delta State through your MORE Agenda.
Elumelu said since assuming office, Governor Oborevwori has been “prudently driving transformative growth and development in Delta State, creating indelible marks on the lives of the people of the State”. He emphasized on Governor Oborevwori administration’s MORE Agenda which he affirmed has been yielding impressive results in meeting the needs of the people.
Describing Governor Oborevwori as a seasoned administrator who has brought his wealth of experience to bear in the governance of Delta State, Elumelu said that the award is an “undisputable reflection of the Governor’s dedication, hard work, passion for service and commitment to transparency, accountability, and good governance which has earned him, the trust and admiration of his people”.
The former Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, further maintained that the award was not just a recognition of Governor Oborevwori’s individual achievements, but also a testament to the progress and development of Delta State under his leadership.
