The maiden edition of the Aniocha North Chairman’s Football Competition will kickoff formally this weekend.
The opening ceremony for the competition is scheduled for Friday, December 6, 2024 at the Omado Primary School Field, Issele-Uku.
Chairman of Aniocha North Local Government, Hon. Emma Bazim Chinye is scheduled to formally declare the competition open at the ceremony, slated for 2 p.m.
The football competition, being sponsored by the Aniocha North Local Government, in partnership with an International Football Academy based in Germany, is in line with the MORE G.A.I.N.S Mantra of the Hon. Emma Chinye-led administration of the local government.
The annual football tournament is geared towards talents hunt in the field of football, where five discovered young talents between the ages of 17 and 22, on a yearly basis, will be sponsored to Germany by the Local Government for a career in professional football.
Top state government officials as well as Aniocha North Local Government officials are scheduled to be at the opening ceremony.
The general public, especially residents of Aniocha North Local Government Area, are invited to witness the opening ceremony where Onicha-Olona will lock horns with Idumuje -Unor.
