Conference President and Spiritual Leader, Anioma Delta Baptist Conference, Rev. Dr. Paul Anyasi, has urged congregants of the Conference to demonstrate more selfless love, with a view to moving the Conference to another level of glory.
Dr. Anyasi spoke on Sunday, August 27 in his impartations and declarations, as the 9th annual session of the Conference which began last week at the First Baptist Church, Boji Boji, Owa, Delta State, ended on a glorious note.
The Conference President appreciated the doggedness and love displayed by the delegates to the Conference despite the harsh economic situation in the country, assuring that their love for kingdom work will not go unrewarded.
He commended scheduled Ministers that ministered during the course of the annual session, affirming their teachings, to be spiritually inspiring and a huge blessing to the devotees.
The Spiritual Head of the Baptist Denominations in Delta North Senatorial District, Delta State, said from the expositions of the theme, “Kingdom People for Kingdom Love,” it becomes pertinent for devotees to work in selfless love in moving the Conference to another level of glory.
“For us to move forward in our local Churches, Associations, and Conference, we must do away with the concept of who takes the glory.
“Let us not be selfish with who takes the glory, because the moment you begin to say, if I do this, who takes the glory, the work will not move on.
“The work of God is not for the glory of Man, it is for the glory of God. For God does not share His glory with any Man. So, if we must love, that concept of who takes the glory must be taken away from us,” he admonished.
He articulated the ingredients of selfless love to include; unconditional care, uncommon sacrifice, and empathy, even as he maintained that care is an integral part of what a community does.
Dr Anyasi also explained uncommon sacrifice to be the essence of love, saying that loving sacrificially has a way of building up and not exposing one another and noted that to be empathetic, kingdom People must be ready to accommodate and bear the weaknesses of one another.
“Therefore, go back to your various stations, loving one another, smiling at one another in love to the glory of God,” the Conference President charged the congregants.
With the CP’s impartation and declarations on the congregation, seasoned with consecrated worship and high praise led by Sister Blessing, the 9th annual session of the Anioma Delta Baptist Conference was declared closed by the Conference Chairman, Rev. Dr. Monday Opone.
Highlights of the Annual Session included inspection of the guide of honour and parade by the Conference President, Rev. Dr. Paul Anyasi, mounted by the combined team of Royal Ambassadors and Lydia Auxiliary of the Conference.
