The Minority Caucus in the House of Representatives has expressed shock and sadness over the sudden demise of Hon. Isaac Omolafe Adedayo.
According to a Statement on Tuesday August 17, 2021 by the Minority Leader, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, the Minority Caucus said they are heartbroken by the death of the Federal lawmaker representing Akure South/Akure North Federal Constituency, describing him as an exceptional generous man with a heart for the people.
“Indeed, our hearts bleed and our sorrows know no bounds as our caucus, the PDP family in the House of Representatives, the National Assembly and the nation at large grieve over the loss of a patriot, fine gentleman and excellent lawmaker, who dedicated his life towards the service of our dear fatherland.
According to the Caucus, “Hon. Adedayo was a very humble soul; an exceptionally generous man with a heart for the people; a statesman who always put the good and welfare of others above all personal interests.
“As a lawmaker, Hon. Adedayo was an outstanding representative of his people and remained unwavering in his commitment towards the quest for good governance in our country.
“Indeed, we are grief-stricken that such a good man is snatched from us at this critical time in our national history, especially when our nation is in dire need of patriots like Hon. Adedayo.
“Our prayers and thoughts remain with the Adedayo family at this moment of grief as we also commiserate with the people of Akure South/Akure North Federal Constituency, the PDP fold in Ondo state as well as the government and people of Ondo state.
“As we draw solace from the promises of God regarding those who sleep in the faith and in good works, the Minority caucus prays to God to bestow His abiding presence, peace and grace on the Adedayo family and grant us all the fortitude to bear this devastating loss,” the Caucus prayed.
