Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Aniocha North North Local Government Area, Delta State said arrangements towards the burial of late Prince Victor Egbune is on top gear.
Chairman of the Party in the Area, Dr. Charles Ochei on Thursday disclosed this in a statement.
Late Prince Victor Egbune, a three times Chairman of the PDP in Aniocha North transited to eternal glory on Thursday, April 18, 2024 after a protracted illness.
He was 77 years old.
Dr Ochei said with the release of the funeral arrangements for the burial of the renowned politician by the Egbune family of Issele-Uku, the Party has mobilized towards a befitting burial for their departed Leader.
He said that according to the funeral arrangements by the family, the burial of late Prince Egbune will commence on Friday, June 21, 2024 with a social wake keep at his Country home, located at number 3 Utolo lane, Ishiekpe quarter, beside the Obi’s Palace, Issele-Uku.
The Party Chairman, noted that the funeral rites have been slated for Saturday, June 22 at the same venue by 10 in the morning while interment of the body will follow immediately at his Country home.
While disclosing that guests will be hosted to a reception immediately after the interment at the premises of St. Paul’s Catholic Cathedral, beside the Obi’s Palace, Issele-Uku, Dr Ochei assured that Leaders and members of the Party in Aniocha North, Delta State and beyond will be participating actively in all segments of the burial ceremony, even as he urged all stakeholders in the party to come out in their numbers to accord the late departed leader of the party their last respect and honour.
