Okowa to Commission Projects Executed by Oshimili North Local Government

The Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa will on Monday 4th January, 2021 commission projects executed by the Oshimili North Local Government Council.

In statement by the Executive Chairman of the Local Government, Hon. Louis Ndukwe, projects to be inaugurated include the Oshimili North Local Government Legislative Complex at Akwukwu-Igbo, the Oshimili North Ultramodern Market at Okpanam and the Ukala Market Lockup Shops at Ukala-Okpunor, all within the Council area.

Hon. Ndukwe said that the projects have direct bearing to the lives of the people of the local Government area, and the event will start with the commissioning of the newly completed Legislative Complex at the premises of the Oshimili North Local Government Council, Akwukwu-Igbo, the administrative headquarters of the Local Government area, scheduled for 10am while that of Ukala Market Lockup Shops will follow immediately afterwards.

The Council boss said that, thereafter, the Governor and his entourage will be at Okpanam for the commissioning of the Oshimili North Ultramodern Market at 1pm.

He urged leaders and people of Oshimili North Local Government area to join hands with the Council to accord the Governor and his entourage a rousing welcome while saying that relevant protocols on Covid-19 will be fully adhere to.

Hon. Louis said that the projects commissioning is part of the activities marking the winding up of his administration in Oshimili North Local Government Area, noting that the activities will end with his valedictory session with members of the Local Government which includes the Executive council, the legislative arm as well as management and staff of the Council on Tuesday 5th January, 2021 at the Council Conference Hall, Akwukwu-Igbo by 11 in the morning.
