Delta State Governor elect, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, has promised to keep faith with his M. O. R. E. Agenda.
The Governor-Elect who gave the assurance in Asaba when he received in audience the E. K Clark Solidarity Group for Good Governance, assured that his administration would be very proactive to the needs of Deltans.
Rt Hon Oborevwori who is the Speaker of the State Assembly and National Deputy Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria, told the visiting members of E. K Clark solidarity group for good governance that his advancing Delta project would be all encompassing.
According to him, there will be Meaningful Development, Opportunities for All, Realistic Reforms and Enhanced Peace and Security under his watch as Governor of Delta State.
He assured that all ethnic nationalities would be carried along in terms of appointments and projects.
The Governor-Elect who described Chief E. K Clark as a national leader and father of all, thanked the group for the visit, disclosing that the elder statesman prayed for him before the election, and also called him after the victory at the polls to congratulate him.
He promised to keep in touch and prayed for good health for Chief E. K Clark, even as he sued for unity and prayers of all Deltans.
Speaking earlier, National Chairman, E. K Clark Solidarity For Good Governance and former Secretary to the Delta State Government, Sir Simon Efenudu, described the Governor-elect as a child of destiny created by God for a purpose.
He lauded the admiration and respect of Rt Hon Oborevwori for elders, including Chief E. K Clark, pointing out that his overwhelming victory in the gubernatorial election was an affirmation of the confidence of the people in his ability to steer the affairs of the state as well as confirmation of the love for PDP and the administration of the State Governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa by Deltans.
Sir Efenudu stated that as Deltans await the swearing in of the Speaker as the 5th Governor of Delta State, the group has absolute faith that he will bring his wealth of experience to bear on the Governance of the State.
The ceremony was witnessed by the Majority Leader of the State Assembly, Hon Ferguson Onwo and the Deputy Chip Whip, Solomon Ighrakpata, amongst others.
