It was unprecedented joy and celebration as the immediate past Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon Ndudi Elumelu continued with the Inauguration of Landmark Projects he initiated and executed in Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency, Delta State.
State Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Delta State, Chief Solomon Arenyeka, accompanied by top officials of the Party in the State, performed the commissioning ceremonies of the various projects and formally handed them over to the benefitting communities.
Completed projects inaugurated include, a Community Town Hall in Nsukwa, Obi Palace in Ewulu, Obi Palace in Ubulu-Unor, Community Town Hall in Ubulu-Uku, Obi Palace in Okpanam, and ICT Centre in Okwe.
The projects are all located in Aniocha South, Oshimili North and South Local Government Area, Delta State.
Inaugurating the Projects, Chief Solomon Arenyeka lauded the former Minority Leader of the House of Representatives for his development strides.
While describing Elumelu as a Man that loves his people, Chief Arenyeka noted the completed projects to be people oriented facilities that will continue to add value to the members of the benefitting communities.
Earlier, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu disclosed the choices and selection of the projects in each of the Communities and said it was based on the needs of the people.
“I have many Special Assistants in the various communities. The essence of their job is to interact with the communities and be able to find out the actual needs of the people in those communities,” Elumelu said.
He further maintained that all the projects were geared towards making the people happy, following the full steps of the Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwore who he noted has continued to vigorously keep his promises, not only for the People of Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency, but also in the entire State.
Elumelu described the State Governor as a humble Man with high integrity.
“Our Governor is very empathetic to the plight of the People of Delta State. He wishes that everybody is happy and joyful. He is a good man with a heart for the people and we are following his footsteps.
“That is why you can see many projects that are being commissioned since Thursday, March 27 till today being Friday the 28th. I believe that His Excellency the Governor is meant for Delta State and Delta State is meant for him,” Elumelu stated.
In a chat with Journalists, the member representing Oshimili South State Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Barrister Bridget Anyafulu thanked God for the Man, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, emphasizing that the two days inauguration of people oriented projects initiated and executed by the Rt. Hon. Elumelu in the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency was a testimony of the good work he has done, a testimony of representing his people well.
“That he has looked at the need assessment of his people because he had proper consultation with them and he had done according to what the people wanted, that itself, is good representation. If they say do this for us and that was done.
“Proper implementation brings about good results and peace in different communities and that is what Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu is doing.”
Hon. Anyafulu wished Elumelu well and prayed that God and the People will reward him more for his love and passion for service.
Also in an interview, the member representing Aniocha South State Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Dr. Isaac Anwuzia said indeed for two days they witnessed an unprecedented harvest of projects in the federal Constituency, courtesy of the former Minority Leader and said that Elumelu in all fairness has continued to follow the MORE Agenda of the State Governor even in and out of office.
“I am very happy to be associated with him. As you can see everybody is very happy and joyful.
“We were with him in Nsukwa, Ewulu, Ubulu-Unor, Ubulu-Uku and now we are in Ogwashi-Uku where he has inaugurated a Club House built for the public, DSS Quarters and a comprehensive Water Scheme for our people. We are happy and very grateful to him.
We wish him well and we attest to the fact that for performance seek, Rt. Hon Elumelu has done excellently well. We are happy with him and we can’t wait to return him back to Abuja,” Dr. Anwuzia said.
He pleaded with the Communities to manage the various facilities properly with a view not to defeat the purpose it was meant for.
In her own commit, a renowned leader in Aniocha Oshimili Federal Constituency and a former Chairman of NDDC, Ms Laurette Onochie was full of praise for the former Minority Leader, describing him as a leader with listening ears and kine interest on the People.
She said, “I am happy to see that people who represent us still connect with the people at home. Politics is all about the People and I am very delighted to see what is happening here in Aniocha/Oshimili through the uncommon efforts of Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu.”
She noted a particular incident where she had to advise the former Minority on the need to intervene in one of the communities and how he quickly followed her advice and peace and joy was restored.
“Since then, I have always believed in him and whatever he does. He loves the people of our Federal Constituency,” Onochie said.
