The Executive Chairman of Aniocha North Local Government, Delta State, Hon. Kevin Okwechime has loaded the nomination and Presidential approval for the Conferment of the National Honours Award on the Delta State Governor and PDP Vice Presidential Candidate, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa.
In a statement on Tuesday October 4, 2022, Hon. Okwechime described the approval for the National Honours Award, in the rank of Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) on Okowa as well merited and deserved, positing that Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa has significantly added great and commendable value to the overall development of Nigeria.
Okwechime said that Governor Okowa by his antecedent in the National space has brought unprecedented pride and honour to the people of Delta State and said that his resolve and commitment to a better Nigeria cannot be overemphasized.
The Council Boss, further stated that Delta as a State under the leadership of Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa has witnessed tremendous and impressive improvement in every sector as never before in its history, making the State one of the fastest developing State in the comity of States in Nigeria.
He appreciated President Mohammedu Buhari for his presidential approval for the National Honours on the Governor and said that the approbation remains a regard and respect for the entire people of Delta, even as he noted the honor on the Governor as a boost towards greater commitment to the development of Nigeria.
