Foundation Engages Caregivers For Martin Special Education Primary School, Issele-Uku

A registered Foundation with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Child Support and Development Foundation, has engaged Special Caregivers for Martin Special Education Primary School, Issele-Uku in Aniocha North Local Government area, Delta State.

Chairman, Board of Trustee, of the Foundation, Hon. Kennedy Okoh, on Thursday January 11, 2024 formally issued and presented the letter of appointment to one of the Specialists, Ms Chigaguam Comfort Atsuwe, in his office at Issele-Uku.

Hon. Kennedy Okoh who is the Secretary to the Aniocha North Local Government, later handed the newly recruited Caregiver to the Head of the school, Mrs Odogbo Regina Isioma who was at the brief, but emotional ceremony with some of her staff.

Speaking at the event, Kennedy Okoh said the gesture of the Foundation was in line with the MORE agenda of the State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and in consonance with the developmental strides of the Aniocha North Local Government under the leadership of Hon. Kevin Okwechime.

He said it was also in keeping with the Foundation’s core objectives of early identification of talent in children, developing them along their line of natural endowment and empowerment of less privileged Children in the society.

He maintained that the Foundation with an uncommon passion for service has been rendering service to the society, saying that the engagement of two experts and experienced Caregivers for the Special Education Primary School was part of such service they have been rendering to humanity.

“Our foundation has noticed the need for more Caregivers in that Institution which has over twenty pupils with Special disabilities.

“These children living with special disabilities need Special Education Teachers to be able to communicate with them based on the fact that some of them are deaf and dumb, some are physically handicapped, and some are living with autism and all that. They all need special Caregivers to take adequate care of them and beyond that, to impact knowledge to them.

“Our foundation, Child support and development Foundation, in appreciation of what our State Governor and our amiable Local Government Chairman is doing in our State and LGA, has to engage these caregivers to assist with a view to ensuring that learning continues to be progressive for the benefit of the children in the school,” Kennedy Okoh said.

He maintained that the gesture was geared towards making the Children to become what they want to be in future, even as he revealed that the Foundation having taken the responsibility to employ the Caregivers will equally take full charge of their emoluments as our contribution.

Okoh also clarified that the activities of the Foundation does not in any way tend to politics, “It is not about campaigning for any elective or political office, it is not about the government, but individualistic and personal conviction to render uncommon goodness to Children with special needs and the less privileged Children as well, in the Society.

While commending the activities of a renowned Foundation, DAO Foundation and the Founder, Kennedy Okoh expressed the resolve of Child support and development Foundation to seek the Assistance of DAO Foundation in the urgent provision of a mini school bus for the Martin Special Education Primary School, Issele-Uku.

“Part of my burden is the issue of transportation for these Children to school. Because they are physically handicapped and challenged, it becomes a heavy burden on their parents taking them to this Special Education Center in Issele-Uku. They come from the various areas in Issele-Uku and Environs and more often, attendance to school is hampered basically because of this, hence the need for a school bus for their transportation,” he stated.

In a chat with cshowcasenews.com, the head of the Martin Special Education Primary School Issele-Uku, Mrs, Odogbo Regina Isioma appreciated the Foundation for their interventions and said the management of the School, the pupils as well as their Parents will continue to be grateful to Child support and development Foundation.

Mrs Odogbo called on other well-meaning individuals and organizations to emulate the kind gesture of the foundation by assisting in one way or the other in the management of the school for the benefit of the Pupils.
