A renowned grassroots politician in Aniocha North Local Government Area, Engr. Fidel Onwodi, has congratulated the Leader and members of the Legislative Arm of the local Government for their successful inauguration.
Fidel Onwodi spoke with Journalists on Monday, 15th March, 2021, during the inauguration of the Legislative Arm at Issele-uku, the administrative headquarters of Aniocha North Local Government Area.
Engr. Onwodi who is the MD/CEO of FEON Engineering Ltd, based in Lagos, said he was impressed with the peaceful nature of the inauguration of the Legislative Arm and commended the Councillors for their maturity and calm dispositions through out the duration of the ceremony.
He noted that the smooth launch of the 7th Assembly of the Legislative Arm was a clear confirmation of new and better things to come for the people of Aniocha North, saying that peace, security, unity and progress have come to prevail in the area.
The former PDP aspirant for the House of Representatives, urged the Leader, Deputy leader and other members of the Legislative Arm, to join forces with the Executive Chairman of the Local Government, Hon. Kevin Okwechime, to bring about improved standard of living for the entire people of Aniocha North, even as he advised that they do away with any form of distractions that would hinder them from delivering on the mandate.
“Let me use this medium to congratulate the new members of the Legislative Arm of Aniocha North Local Government, for their successful election at the polls and for the peaceful nature of their inauguration.
“They have started well and I must tell you that I am very much impressed with their calmness and maturity.
“l want to urge them to remain focus and be diligent to their duties as the representatives of the people. They should avoid, by all means, any form of distractions that may come anything that has to do with factions.
“Focus on the needs of the people, listen to their yearnings and be able to come up with meaningful laws that will in turn improve the lives of the people they are representing,” Engr. Onwodi stated.
