Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, has nominated some persons for confirmation of their appointment as Chairmen and members of some Boards and Agencies in the state, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by the relevant laws.
The nominations are contained in a letter addressed to the Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly and read on the floor of the House at Tuesday’s plenary.
The Board of Delta Broadcasting Service, Asaba, has a former member of the State House of Assembly, Hon Austin Chikezie as Chairman nominee, while the members are Chief Amos Okoro, Pastor Paul Osahon and Chief Vincent Okporua are members.
Mr. Emmanuel Bazim Chinye was nominated as Chairman of the Delta State Waste Management Board, with Matthew Mofe Edema, Felix Erhimedafe, and Cosmos Igbenije as members
The Direct Labour Agency (DLA) has Hon (Engr) Emmanuel Ighomena as Chairman nominee, Engr Lawrence Ejiofor, Engr Lawrence Eduje and Engr (Mrs) Christabel Obiuwvebi Omonigho as members.
Ogbueshi (Engr) Smart Meka is Chairman nominee for the Delta State Rural Development Agency (RDA), which has Hon Godwin Atose, Ejiro Okumagba, Engr Chukwutem Adibeli, Mrs Tina Iwhuwhu and Henrietta Omagu as members’ nominee.
Similarly, Chief Moses Odibo, has been nominated as Chairman of the Board of Delta Broadcasting Service, Warri, with Mrs Gladys Nkenchor, Mrs Efe Okodese and David Oghenekevwe as members.
The Governor urged the House to expeditiously screen and confirm the nominees to enable him effect their appointments.
Meanwhile, the nominees have been directed to submit 35 copies of the Curriculum Vitae (CV) to the Clerk of the House tomorrow and appear for screening on Thursday, November, 30, 2023.
