The immediate past Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, on Thursday, paid a condolence visit to a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Godwill Obielum.
The visit according to Elumelu, was to condole Chief Obielum over the loss of his mother, Mrs Victoria Ossai Obielum.
Mrs Obielum died at the age of 87, though, no date has been fixed for her burial, Chief Obielum has continued to receive prominent personalities including Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State and his Deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme, FCA, Sen. Emmanuel Aguariavwodo, among numerous others who personally visited to commiserate with him.
Elumelu said, “Though, 87 could be said to be old age based on life expectancy in Nigeria, Mama would have stayed more with us.
“Chief, be consoled with the fact that you lived with her, relive the memories that you shared together and give thanks to God that she lived a good life and she was a good mother.
“We will remember you in our prayers and join you in celebrating her life and times, God bless you Chief.”
Chief Obielum said the visit by Rt. Hon. Elumelu was a unique show of love and thanked him for the support.
