Elumelu Hosts, Fulfills Promise to NTA Asaba  …Reafirms Commitment To The People 

Immediate past Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, OON, has reiterated his commitment to serving the people.

This is just as he has fulfilled his promise to the Asaba, Delta State station of the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) to enable the station meet some of its challenges.

Elumelu spoke on Tuesday while receiving the Management of NTA, Asaba led by General Manager, Mrs. Christie Badung who paid him a courtesy visit at his home in Onicha-Uku, Aniocha North Local Government Area, Delta State.

He said his love and commitment to the people remains exceptional and deep rooted in his heart adding that God laid in his heart to always give back to the society.

He maintained that act of giving to the society does not by any way means having more than enough, but based on the need to give back to the people with a view to showing appreciation and gratitude to God’s goodness and in helping to bring about a better society.

While appreciating the General Manager and members of her team for their kind words and prayers, Elumelu highlighted his recent initiatives, including commissioning nearly 20 infrastructural projects in the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency noting that meaningful development can only be possible when all hands are on deck

Elumelu assured his support for NTA Asaba’s efforts to upgrade their services and visibility and acknowledged the media organization’s role in serving the people, even as he expressed his willingness to collaborate in addressing their challenges.

Earlier, the General Manager, Mrs. Christie Badung appreciated Hon Elumelu who she described as a man “who, in and out of office has continued to represent his people of Aniocha Oshimili/Federal Constituency by internalizing people-oriented infrastructural development projects in the area.

She said Elumelu’s step by step development of the Communities around his area are impacting on the society at large.

Mrs. Badung used the opportunity of the visit to convey some of her plans towards upgrading the visibility of NTA, Asaba to serve the people of the State better and the challenges being experienced by the station.

“Since I came, I had a lot of good things about you and when I saw some of the people-oriented projects you initiated and executed in and out of office for your people in Delta State I was indeed marveled. I was so excited about it and said I must meet with you.

“Even when we were driving in here, we saw the magnificent church building you built for your community. We also saw the College of Nursing Science. By the grace of God, you will continue to grow from glory to glory and from strength to strength,” the General Manager prayed.

Meanwhile, Elumelu has fulfilled his promise of helping the NTA, Asaba meet some of their challenges including releasing the sum of N4.7 million to the station to enable it meet its obligation and reconnect to the public power supply.
