Immediate past Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, OON, has congratulated Obi Professor Epiphany Azinge, OON, (SAN) on his enthronement as the 14th Asagba of Asaba in Delta State.
Elumelu said the successful coronation of the new Asagba Asaba has deepened the age-long Culture and tradition of the People of Asaba Kingdom.
In a statement on Monday, Elumelu said the overwhelming choice and acceptance of Obi Professor Epiphany Azinge by the People of Asaba through the Asagba-in-Council, was commendable and a thing of great joy.
He described Obi Professor Epiphany Azinge as a renowned international jurist and academician of no mean repute who continues to uphold the rich cultural heritage and tradition of the People of Asaba.
Elumelu affirmed Obi Professor Epiphany Azinge as an iconic and charismatic leader that is eminently fit for the highly revered Asagba stool, saying that with him on the Asagba throne, the ancient Asaba Kingdom is poised for another level of glory.
The former Minority Leader commended the Asagba-in-Council for their unwavering commitment and forthrightness in ensuring peace adding that the entire people of Asaba will continue to hold them in high esteem for doing the right thing in their choice of Obi Professor Epiphany Azinge as the Asagba of Asaba.
While assuring that the new Asagba of Asaba will use his vast experience and contact to move the Asaba community to another level of peace, progress and prosperity, Elumelu prayed to God Almighty to give His Royal Majesty, the good health, long life and all that is needed to reign as the 14th Asagba of Asaba Kingdom.
