The Member representing Aniocha North State Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Engr. Emeka Nwaobi is rejoicing with the people of his constituency as they celebrate Easter, which marks the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ for the redemption of mankind.
In his Easter message to the people of Aniocha North, Hon. Nwaobi stressed the need for true demonstration of love for one another, just as Jesus Christ, for the love of mankind, laid down his life to redeem man from sins.
“The celebration of Easter always reminds us as Christians, of the unconditional love and sacrifice which our Lord Jesus Christ demonstrated, by accepting to die the most ignominious death on the cross for the redemption of man.
“There could be no greater sacrifice than that, considering the obvious fact that He did not die for His sins, but for the sins of others so that man would gain eternal salvation,” Hon. Nwaobi stated.
He therefore, enjoined the people of Aniocha North, to emulate the rare love and sincere sacrifice made by Jesus Christ in their daily relationship with one another, especially at this period of global uncertainty, occasioned by COVID-19 pandemic, saying that the critical situation has brought unimaginable pains and sorrows to bear on many families that have lost their loved ones, not only in Nigeria, but the World over.
The Honourable Member, however, assured the people that with love, care and genuine sacrifice, all problems confronting humanity would be defeated, even as he urged all to obey the state government’s order on stay at home, as well as endeavour to strictly follow the directives given by medical experts, which include constant washing of hands with running water, use of sanitizer, keeping social distancing among others, for the purpose of curbing and preventing the spread of coronavirus in the state.
While maintaining that sooner than expected, the sad event of this period would become mere historical record, he commended the Delta State Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for his proactive approach in the management of the pandemic in the state, even as he assured that the allocation to Aniocha North people from the State Food Bank will surely get to them at the appropriate time, as he heartily wished the entire people of the Constituency, a joyous Easter celebration!
