The Delta State House of Assembly on Tuesday, march 28, 2023, placed the Chairman of Ndokwa East Local Government in the State, Hon. Amechi Juan on indefinite suspension over alleged financial misappropriation, leaking of official documents, refusal to submit monthly income and expenditures as well as other allegations.
The House set up Adhoc Committee to investigate the allegations as contained in a letter sent to the House by the Legislative Arm of Ndokwa East Local Government.
Members of the committee are; Hon Anthony Elekeokwuri (chairman), Hon (Evang) Princess Pat Ajudua (member), Hon (Engr.) Kenneth Oboro Preyor (member), Hon (Comrade) Izeze Rume Yakubu Reuben (member) and Mr Aghoghopiah Otto (secretary).
Tuesday’s plenary session was presided over by the Deputy Speaker of the House, Rt Hon Ochor Christopher Ochor.
