The Delta State House of Assembly has fixed Tuesday 25 July 2023 to screen and confirm commissioner-nominees of the State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori.
The State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori on Wednesday forwarded a list of Commissioner-nominees to the State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.
The list was contained in a letter read at the plenary session by the Speaker, Mr Emomotimi Guwor.
Oborevwori in the letter stated that the request was in exercise of powers conferred on him by section 192 (2) of the 1999 Constitution as amended.

The nominees include two former lawmakers, Mr Reuben Izeze and Mrs Pat Ajudua and four immediate past commissioners, Mr Charles Aniagwu, Fidelis Tilije, Mr Darlington Ijeh and Dr Kingsley Ashibuogwu.
Others are Mr Daniel Odinigwe, Joan Ada-Anioma, Mr Jerry Ehiwario, Mr Michael Anoka, Mr Funyei Manager, Mr Godknows Angele, Dr Joseph Onojaeme, Mr Emamusi Obiodeh, Mr Perez Omoun and Orode Uduaghan.
The rest are Mr Isaac Agbatayemiro, Mr Samuel Oligida, Prof. Tonukari Johnbull, Mr Etagherure Terry, Mrs Rose Ezewu, Jamani Ejiro, Onoriode Agofure, Mr Vincent Oyibode and Mr Sonny Akedayen
The Speaker, thereafter, directed the nominees to provide 35 copies of their Curriculum Vitae to the office of the Clerk of the House on/or before July 24 and appear for screening and confirmation on Tuesday, July 25.
