Defection to APC: Elumelu Addresses Supporters, Says It’s A Collective Decision

Immediate past Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, OON, has addressed his supporters on his decision to defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In a statement on Thursday, Elumelu explained that the decision to leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was a collective one, taken by the Delta State PDP family.

According to Elumelu, the Party in the State, led by the Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, has resolved to support the Governor’s MORE agenda and work towards a better Delta State.

Elumelu urged his followers to join him in backing the Governor’s initiatives, which he believes will bring about a brighter future for the people.

The renowned Politician’s decision to defect to APC has generated a lot of interest, with many speculating about the reasons behind the move.

However, Elumelu has made it clear that the decision was not taken in isolation, but rather as part of a collective effort towards achieving a common goal.

Elumelu also addressed critics, stating that he would not be deterred by negative opinions, instead, he will remain focused on working together with the Governor to realize the dreams of a better future for the State.

The formal declaration of the Governor, and other members of PDP in the State is slated for Monday, April 28, 2025, and Elumelu has invited everyone as they join the Governor on this journey, even as he expressed optimism about the new endeavor and wished his followers well.

Elumelu also expressed gratitude to his supporters and reiterated his commitment to working for the betterment of Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency and Delta State at large.
