Anorich and Tina Foundation, a non-governmental organization geared towards the promotion of the welfare of widows and less privilege in the society, has treated indigent widows in Issele-Azagba in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State, to a Christmas party
The Party which was the 7th in their Annual Widows Xmas Party series was held on Thursday December 23, 2021 at late Pa Kenneth Okafor Anonyei compound in Ogbe Ani quarters, Issele-Azagba
About 100 indigent widows within and outside Issele-Azagba participated in the party that was physically attended by the Founders of the Foundation, Hon. Richard Anonyei and his wife Tina.
The event commenced with Mrs Tina Anonyei leading the highly delighted Women to a session of worship and praises to the lord God Almighty while the husband gave the word of exhortations
In his words of exhortations, Hon. Richard Anonyei who is the Senior Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Political matters, said that as widows, the women has the Lord God Almighty as their husband, saying that God being their husband has the capacity to take care of their needs at any particular time and period.
He said that their gathering for the party was ordained by God with a view to putting smiles on their faces as they join in celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, even as he admonished them to continue to have implicit faith and trust in God.
Hon. Anonyei who is also the PDP Aniocha North Local Government Area Youth Leader, later led a prayer session, where he prayed for the widows and members of their families.
In a chat with cshowcasenews.com after the event, Hon. Anonyei appreciated God for giving the foundation all that it takes to sustain the annual event, stressing that God has continued to use the foundation as a channel of joy and hope to the widows and less privileged in the society.
He was full of praises for his wife, Tina, describing her as a jewel of inestimable value and great bacon of support and hope, even as he thanked the entire Anonyei family of Issele-Azagba, Mr. Christian Okolie, Mr. Anthony Nnamesia and Sir Peter kifordu for their support towards the success of the event.
Hon. Anonyei also appreciated the planning committee for the great success recorded in the Foundation’s 7th Annual Xmas Party for indigent widows.
Raw food items that included bags of rice, cow meat, and other condiments as well as cash envelopes were later distributed to each of the indigent widows to enable them enjoy the season with members of their families.
