Anioma Delta Baptist Conference Kicks Off 11th Annual Session in Asaba

The 11th Annual Session of the Anioma Delta Baptist Conference commenced on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at the Divine Way Baptist Church in Asaba, Delta State.

This year’s session, presided over by Conference President and Spiritual Leader Rev’d Dr. Dike Godspower Utih, marks his first annual session since assuming office in June last year.

Conference Chairman, Rev’d Dr Monday Opone formally declared the Annual Session open. Over 5,000 Messengers from 11 Baptist Associations in Delta North District are attending the conference.

In his opening address, Rev’d Dr. Utih welcomed the Messengers and celebrated past leaders of the conference for their contributions to its growth.

Dr. Utih declared the annual session “a glorious moment” for all Messengers, marking the beginning of a new journey with God. He expressed joy that, for the first time, the conference would be ordaining pastors during the session.

Speaking on the theme “Manifesting His Presence,” Dr. Utih explored how God manifests Himself in believers’ lives, citing Luke 1:19. He emphasized that believers carry God’s power and blessings, affirming God’s active presence in them.

The conference president also highlighted the role of divine messengers in Christians’ lives, stating that God brings His word to His people through grace-filled individuals. He urged the congregation to expect an uncommon miracle, attesting to their encounter with God.

The opening ceremony featured a ministration by the Mass Choir of Anioma Delta Baptist Conference, setting the tone for a spirit-filled annual session.

Organizations within the Conference also held their organizational meetings immediately after the opening session.
