Faithful of Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), Aniocha North Local Government area came out in their numbers at the Party Secretariat in Issele-Uku to rejoice and celebrate the Supreme Court Judgment affirming Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori as the Governor of Delta State.
The Party leaders and faithful led by the Chairman of the Party in the Area, Hon.(Dr.) Charles Ochei on hearing the news of the Judgment was in the Party Secretariat with various dance groups singing and appreciating the Lord God Almighty for the Governor’s victory at the Apex Court.
The Party Chairman who could not contain his joy, led the mammoth crowd along the Issele-Uku- Issele-mkpitime road, dancing magnificently with the various dance groups in a show of gratitude to God for the victory.
Speaking with newsmen, Dr. Charles Ochei commended the Supreme Court for upholding earlier Court Judgment affirming PDP and Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori as the winner of the March Governorship Election in Delta State.
He congratulated the Governor on behalf of the party and the people of Aniocha North, saying that the massive vote of the people of the State for the Governor has been affirmed and vindicated.
He described the Supreme Court Judgment as a well-deserved Judgment and said the people’s mandate, massively entrusted to the Peoples Democratic Party and Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborivwore, has finally been resolved on a positive note by the Judgment of the apex court.
“Honestly, the news of the victorious judgment by the Supreme Court came in as God’s New Year present to us in Aniocha North and Delta State as a whole. Our hearts are full of joy.
“We commend in its entirety the Supreme Court Judgment. It is a commendable one and well-deserved by His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori and our great Party, the Peoples Democratic Party.
“The people voted massively for our party and the Governor, not only in Aniocha North, but across the State.
“Let me on behalf of the PDP in Aniocha North Local Government Area and indeed the people of the Area to heartily rejoice and congratulate His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, our Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme, the immediate past Governor of our State, His Excellency, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa the State Chairman of the PDP, Olorogun Barr. Kingsley Esiso and the entire People of the State for this victory. It is a sweet victory for us all,” Dr. Ochei said.
He pledged the continued support and cooperation of the party and the people of Aniocha North to the Governor in the realization of his MORE agenda, even as he called on every segment of the State to join hands with the Governor to move the state to another glorious level
