An unprecedented crowd of party members came out in their numbers to accord the party executives a rousing welcome in Ezi, the ward of the Party Chairman, as well as in ward 4, Onicha-Olona, attesting to the preference of the PDP in the wards by the people.

The Party Executives had earlier visited ward 9; Ukwu-Nzu, ward 8; Idumuje-Uno, ward 3; Obomkpa, Ward 2; Onicha-Ugbo, Ward 5; Issele-Azagba, as well as Wards 6 and 7 Issele-Uku.

At Ezi and Onicha-Olona wards, just as in other wards visited, the ward chairmen and leaders who spoke on behalf of the party members, pledged their unalloyed support for the unity and progress of the party in Aniocha North as envisaged by the leaders of the Party in the area.

Speaking with journalists at the end of the tour, the PDP Chairman in Aniocha North, Hon. Charles Ochei, expressed joy over the success of the tour, saying that the massive turnout of party faithful in the various wards visited was a clear fact that Aniocha North remains the home of the PDP.

“We are on a reconciliation and familiarization tour of all the wards in Aniocha North, spreading our Party’s message of reconciliation and entrenching a peaceful and united PDP family. We are spreading the message to all our members in the various wards, to tell them that PDP is still waxing stronger.

“We are telling our members that presently, Aniocha North leaders of our Party have come together to agree that they will not engage in any form of activities that will bring about the factionalization of the party again. That there was a meeting that was held in the Local Government Area where all the leaders met and agreed that anything like the factionalization of the Party will no longer be accommodated.

“We were also telling them that the expected local government election will no longer be by December, but that in a twinkle of an eye, the election will come within the first quarter of next year or so and the response of our party faithful has been very superb.

“Honestly we are encouraged. I thanked them for coming out en-masse to support us,” the Aniocha North PDP boss stated.
