An enlarged meeting of the Executives of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Aniocha North Local Government Area have been held.
The first meeting of the Party for the year was held on Monday, January 20, 2025 at the Party Secretariat, Issele-Uku, the administrative headquarters of the Local Government Area
It was presided over by the Chairman of the Party in the area, Dr. Charle Ochei and attended by the Vice Chairman, Chief Ayo Momah, the Secretary, Mr. Samuel Osabobe, and other members of the Executives that included the various ward Chairmen.
Addressing the meeting, Dr Ochei thanked the Lord God Almighty for making it possible for them to see the new year and said it was a great privilege for them to be alive in the New year to continue with their service to the Party and the people of the Area.
While appreciating them for their support and encouragement all through last year, Dr Ochei said the new year has avail them another opportunity to do more towards moving the Party to a glorious level of dominance in Aniocha North.
Ochei commended the Executive Chairman of the Local Government, Hon. Emma Bazim Chinye, for his proactive leadership of the Council area and said that Council boss has continued to make the Party proud through his administration’s policies, programmes and actions which he noted to be people oriented, in line with the Party’s manifesto.
The Party Chairman also appreciated all leaders of the Party in Aniocha North Local Government Area and said their support and encouragement has been uncommon, even as he restated the commitment of the Executives to continue carry them along in the running of the affairs of the party in the area.
He revealed that the Party in the area, after consultation with the Leaders, would soon commence ward visitation geared towards straightening the Party for efficiency and effective dominance at the ward level
In his determination to ensure a fulfilling year for the party, Hon Ochei at the meeting constituted a 5-Man Committee to design a road map for the success of the Party in the area for the year
Members of the Committee include; the Secretary; Hon. Samuel Osabobe, Woman Leader; Mrs. Uche Okoh, Chairman of Ward Chairmen; Prince Oyibo Obi, ward 7 Chairman; Mr Louis Ebegbuna and Youth Leader; Mr. Kaikene Okolie.
