The Authorities of Aniocha North Local Government, Delta State has formally announced the burial arrangement of its Supervisor for Finance, late Hon Ekene Eric Eziunor, who transited to eternal glory on Saturday July 22, 2023.
According to a statement on Friday by the Secretary to the Local Government, Mr Kennedy Okoh, the body of late Hon. Ekene Eric Eziunor, will on Saturday August 5, 2023 by 7:30 in the morning, depart God’s Time Rest Home Mortuary, located along Issele-Uku/Issele-Mkpitime Road, to Aniocha North Local Government Council Secretariat, Issele-Uku for a brief lying-in-State at Legislative Building.
Thereafter by 8:30, the Body of the deceased will be taken to the Legislative Chamber for a Valedictory Session of the Legislative Arm of the Local Government in honour of the late Hon. Eric Eziunor.
The statement said after the Valedictory Session by 10 am, the Body of the diseased will depart in a Motorcade to Obomkpa, his Hometown for a brief lying-in-State at his country home, Ogbe-Onei quarter, Obomkpa, thereafter, he will be taken to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Obomkpa, for a Funeral Mass also in his honour.
Interment follows immediately at his Country Home, Ogbe-Onei quarter, Obomkpa whereby reception of funeral guests will also take place at the same venue.
Executive Chairman of the Local Government, Hon Kevin Okwechime will be leading the Officials of the Local Government to the burial ceremony which will also be attended by critical stakeholders in the Aniocha North Local Government Area.
Late Honourable Ekene Eziunor until his demise after a protracted illness, was a two-time Councillor for ward 3, Obomkpa in the Council Area and was also the immediate past Majority leader of the Legislative Arm of the Local Government.
He died at the age of 50 and survived by an aged Mother, the wife, three Children and many other relations.
