Aniocha North LG Receives Foreign Partner, As Council Boss, Hon. Emma Chinye Restates Administration’s Commitment To Youth, Sports, Agric Development

Executive Chairman of Aniocha North Local Government, Delta State Hon. Emma Chinye has restated his administration’s resolve and commitment towards uplifting the living standard of the People of the area through Youth, Sports and Agricultural development.

Hon. Chinye spoke on Monday, August 5, 2024 during a Special EXCO meeting of his administration with the President of Sus Runthe Soccer Club of Germany and International Finance Consultant, Mr Dietmat Wurst at the Local Government Executive Chamber in Issele-Uku.

Hon Chinye said the meeting was to formally receive and introduce the German foreign Partner to members of his administration, describing Mr Dietmat Wurst as a Man of great repute who has great passion in the development of Youths and Sports, in developing and poor countries of the world.

The Executive Chairman revealed that Mr Wurst who he noted has been of immense value and assistance to the Delta State Government in the area of sports and youth development,  is set to partner with the Aniocha North Local Government not only in the area of Youth and Sports development, but also in the area of Information/Computer Technology as well as in agricultural and infrastructure development.

The Council boss noted that the partnership of the President of Sus Runthe Soccer Club of Germany is in line with his administration’s MORE GAINS mantra, and said it would be of great benefit to the teeming youths of the area.

Chinye also emphasized that the partnership would help in the discovery of hidden talents in football and other sporting activities among the youths within the various communities in Aniocha North.

He commended the Local Government Chief Adviser on Diaspora Matters, Ambassador Alphonsus Uche Ojiodu, for his commitment and steadfastness in ensuring homeland development through his patriotic efforts in connecting Aniocha North to foreign development partners, even as he affirmed that Ojiodu’s effort was about to yield positive results with the coming of Mr. Dietmat Wurst from Germany to Aniocha North Local Government Area, Delta State.

In his presentations, Mr. Dietmat Wurst who spoke in Dutch with interpretations from Ambassador Alphonsus Uche Ojiodu, expressed his appreciation for the rousing reception accorded him by the Executive Chairman and members of his administration.

While revealing that Hon. Emma Chinye has been his personal friend, he described him as a Man of great capacity who loves the grassroots.

Mr Wurst said for years, his Club, Sus Runthe Soccer Club of Germany has been in the forefront of Youth and Sports development in poor countries of the world and said it is always a great delight for him and his Club helping in nurturing and empowering the large human resources that abound in poor and developing communities of the world.

He assured that having known the needs of the People of Aniocha North through an earlier interactive session of the meeting, and apart from the fact that they have a template and a blueprint for their partnership with the Local Government, that emphasized more on Youth and Sports development, they are ready to widen the scope to include Agriculture, Primary Education and infrastructure development.

Earlier in an interactive segment of the meeting, Cabinet Members which included the Vice Chairman, Hon Clara Nneka Dibia, Supervisors, the Head of Personnel Management and the Treasurer to the Council asked questions and gave positive comments, suggestions and commendations on the areas of the partnership and also spoke on the need to ensure the sustainability of the Partnership to outlive, even the incumbent administration in the Local Government, for the overall benefit of the people of the area.

The special EXCO meeting was also attended by the Leader and Deputy Leader of the Legislative Arm of the Local Government, Hon Raphael Uzo and Hon. Frank Iweke respectively as well as the Special Adviser to the Executive Chairman, Hon. Ndubuisi Osemene.
