Executive Chairman of Aniocha North Local Government, Hon Emma Bazim Chinye has approved the appointment of Chief Ojiodu-Ambrose Uche Alphonsus as his Chief Adviser on Diaspora Matters.
In a statement on Tuesday, July 23, Hon Emma Chinye said the appointment is in line with the provisions of Part V, section C155 sub section 73 (1&2) of Delta State Local Government Law 2013 as amended ( 2017).
By virtue of the appointment, Chief Ojiodu-Ambrose Uche Alphonsus has the responsibilities of advising the Executive Chairman on all matters concerning the Diaspora and Diaspora contributions to Homeland development and be the Diaspora Focal Officer representing Aniocha North Local Government, Delta State.
He is to liaise between the Local Government and Foreign Partners, all Nigerian Diaspora Organizations as well as Nigerians-in-Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM).
Chief Alphonsus appointment is with immediate effect.
In another development, the Executive Chairman of Aniocha North Local Government, Hon. Emma Bazim Chinye has approved the appointment of seven persons as his Personal Assistants.
Those appointed include; Hon. Peter Okafor, Personal Assistant On Political Matters, Mr. Onyesis Jiweaha, Personal Assistant on Political Matters, Mrs Rose Odeiga, Personal Assistant on Political Matters, Mr Shino Nwoko, Personal Assistant on Political Matters, and Mr Emmanuel Chiedu, Personal Assistant on Political Matters.
The Council boss also approved the appointment of Hon. Isioma Chukwu as his Personal Assistant on Media and Publicity and Mr Martins Elumelu as his Personal Assistant on Photography/Videography and Content Creation.
The appointments are in consonance with the provisions of Part V, section C 149 sub section 60 (3) of the Delta State Local Government Law 2013 as amended (2017).
The new officials of the Local Government are to intimately be involved in the management of the official and domestic functions of the Executive Chairman.
Their appointment is with effect from 22nd July, 2024.
