Aniocha North Council Chairman, Hon Chinye Increases Stipend For Council’s Temporary Workers, Tasks Workers On Dedication, Diligence To Duty

Executive Chairman of Aniocha North Local Government, Delta State, Hon. Emma Bazim Chinye, in line with his vision of rebuilding the Local Government Area, has reviewed upward, the stipend for temporary workers of the Local Government Council.

The Council boss made the proclamation on Monday, July 29, 2024 in an interactive meeting with the Council casual workers at the Local Government Multi Purpose and Event Centre, Issele-Uku.

The meeting was attended by the vice Chairman, Hon. Clara Nneka Dibia, the Leader of the legislative Arm, Hon. Raphael Uzo, the Deputy Leader, Hon Frank Iweke, Councillors of the Local Government, the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Kennedy Okoh, Supervisors, as well as the Head of Personnel Management of the Council, Mr. Bartrand Ojeah.

The temporary workers, numbering one hundred and ten, compromise of health assistants, cleaners, clerical assistants, generator operators, Laboratory technicians, gardeners and security men.

The cadre of Clerical Assistants, Cleaners, Generator Operators, Gardeners and Security men, had their stipends increased from Ten Thousand Naira (N10, 000) to Thirty Thousand Naira (N30, 000), while Health Assistants had their Monthly stipend increased from Ten Thousand Naira (N10, 000) to Forty Thousand Naira (N40, 000), with Laboratory technicians having their own reviewed upward from Ten Thousand Naira (N10, 000) to Forty Thousand Naira (N 40,000)

Hon. Emma Chinye also extended the gesture to Corp Members serving in the Local Government Council by increasing their Monthly allowance of Five Thousand Naira (N5, 000) to Twenty Thousand Naira (N20, 000).

While making the proclamation, Hon Chinye said the upward review takes effect from August, 2024.

He appreciated the casual workers for helping in adding value in the Aniocha North project, not minding the little they were being paid and said the review is in consonance with his vision of rebuilding the Local Government for MORE GAINS.

The Executive Chairman tasked them on the need to be steadfast, dedicated and diligent in the discharge of their duties in their various departments.

While charging the Councillors and the Supervisors to monitor the activities of the temporary workers, especially the Health Assistants in their various wards, the Executive Chairman also directed the HPM to ensure that each of the Primary Health Care center has at least three health Assistants attached to it.

He said that in preparation towards the rehabilitation of the various Primary Health Care Centers for optimum primary health care delivery, the local government will, in a few days, embark on an on the spot assessment of the Centers.
