Delta State Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa has been described as a kind hearted father who has remained sensitive to the plight and cry of his people.
Hon. Kevin Okwechime, Executive Chairman, Aniocha North Local Government in the State, made the declaration in an appreciation letter to the Governor, expressing the gratitude of the People and Government of the area for the Governor’s quick response to the people’s passionate call for the urgent rehabilitation of the dilapidated portion of the Onicha-Ugbo/Idumuje-Ugboko link road.
Okwechime in the letter, said the quick intervention of the Governor was an immense delight to the people of Aniocha North, particularly Onicha-Ugbo and Idumuje-Unor communities who he noted were practically cut-off from each other as a result of the total collapse of the link road.
Okwechime affirmed the action of the Governor as a clear demonstration of a leader who loves and inclines himself to the yearnings and genuine aspirations of his people, even as he prayed for him and pledged the continued support and unalloyed cooperation of the people and Government of Aniocha North to the Governor’s Stronger Delta Agenda.
“It is with utmost delight that I write to convey my immense appreciation and that of the Government and people of Aniocha North, particularly the people of Onicha-Ugbo and Idumuje-Ugboko, to His Excellency, for your immediate response to the call for the urgent rehabilitation of the Onicha-Ugbo/Idumuje-Ugboko Link Road.
“Your Excellency Sir, by your urgent action on the road, you have once again demonstrated the obvious fact, that you are indeed, a Governor that remains sensitive to the plight and cry of your people, a kind hearted Father who listens and incline himself to the yearnings and genuine aspirations of his children.
“It was a great deal of joy for Onicha-Ugbo and Idumuje-Ugboko Community and to a greater extent, the entire people of Aniocha North when we woke up to witness the commencement of work on the road, on Monday February 14, 2022, a unique day set aside for the celebration of love globally. To us, it is significant; it is an attestation of your genuine love for the people of Aniocha North and Delta State as a whole.
“Our dear Governor, we are sincerely grateful and on behalf of the Government and People of Aniocha North, we pledge our continued unalloyed loyalty, support and cooperation to your Excellency’s Stronger Delta Agenda.
“We pray to the Lord God Almighty to give you good health and all that is needed to enable you to finish gloriously and strong.
“Your Excellency, please accept the assurances of our highest regards and esteem, at all times,” Hon. Kevin Okwechime stated in the letter.
