Immediate past Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, OON, has extended Easter greetings to Christians, emphasizing the importance of love, sacrifice, and forgiveness during this period.
In his Easter message on Friday, Elumelu highlighted the significance of Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection in reconciling man to God.
The Former Minority Leader encouraged Christians to reflect on Jesus Christ’s humility, submissiveness, and sacrifices and renew their commitment to peace, love, and sacrifice.
He commended Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori’s efforts in promoting peace and security in Delta State and urged the people to continually pray for him and support his initiatives.
Elumelu called on Deltans and Nigerians to pray for peace and stability in the country, especially amidst current security challenges, even as he emphasized the importance of extending love and kindness to one another, particularly to the less privileged, towards promoting peace, love, and harmony.
“Easter remains a period of spiritual renewal and rejuvenation. Let us use this opportunity to reflect on the sacrifices of Our Lord Jesus Christ and renew our commitment to the values of peace, love, and sacrifice,” Elumelu stated.
