The President General of Obomkpa Progress Union (OPU), Comrade Emeka Bidokwu, has, on behalf of the Obomkpa community, commended the former Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon Ndudi Elumelu, for the recent commissioning of landmark projects initiated by him while in the National Assembly in the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency.
About 20 projects, including multi – purpose town halls, Obi palace buildings, ICT centres, roads, solar streetlights, water schemes, among others, were commissioned.
The beneficiaries were Issele-Azagba, Otulu, Onicha-Olona, Obomkpa, Onicha-Ugbo, Idumuje-Ugboko, Idumuje-Unor, Issele-Uku, Onicha-Uku, Ewulu, Ubulu-Unor, Ubulu-Uku, Ogwashi-Uku, Nsukwa, Okpanam and Okwe.
Comrade Bidokwu noted that Hon Elumelu not only demonstrated robust representation of the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency while in the House of Representatives by attracting the projects, but also followed up and ensured that they were completed out of office.
He reflected on the unprecedented excitement in the communities during the commissioning, describing Elumelu’s gesture as a testament to selfless service and passion for community development.
The PG said the successful completion and commissioning of the projects not only added value to the well-being of the people, but also complemented the developmental efforts of the Oborevwori administration.
Comrade Bidokwu congratulated the former Minority Leader on the successful commissioning of the projects and urged the benefitting communities to guard and protect the facilities from theft and vandalism.
