Executive Chairman of Aniocha North Local Government, Hon Emma Bazim Chinye, has been bestowed and honoured with Innovative Chairman of The Year Award, by the Integrity Group of Delta State.
The Group, a socio political organization, is renowned for their unwavering commitment in advancing and promotion of the MORE Agenda of the Delta State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, with membership across the 25 Local Government Areas in the State.
Hon Chinye was among distinguished Deltans including the State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, who were honored in different categories.
The special Award was formally presented to the recipients on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at this year’s Integrity Group Leadership Summit, held at the prestigious Orchard Hotels and Conference Center, Asaba, Delta State.
Hon Chinye, represented by the Secretary to the Aniocha North Local Government, SLG, Hon Kennedy Okoh, was formally presented with the Special award by the Convener of the Group, Dr Oke Idawene.
Presenting the Award, Dr Idawene described the Aniocha North Council Boss as an innovative Local Government administrator who has, in all sectors, emulated and in no small measures, keyed into the MORE Agenda of the State Governor.
The Convener said Hon Chinye, through his MORE Gains Agenda, has brought uncommon innovation in the administration of the Aniocha North Local Government where he has literarily brought about fresh air and deliberately laid solid foundation for uncommon meaningful development of Aniocha North, in line with his vision of rebuilding the area for the betterment of the people.
He commended the Chairman for his commitment in making the people of Aniocha North happy and disclosed to the impressive gathering, how Aniocha North Local Government under the innovative leadership of Hon. Emma Chinye, has embarked on massive construction of people oriented projects that includes, Construction of Ultra Modern Markets, remodeling of Primary Health Care Centres, Empowerment and appointment of over 200 persons into the Local Government, with reasonable monthly Stipends, as well as massive beautification and environmental cleaning of the area, particularly, Issele-Uku, the administrative headquarters of Aniocha North.
Dr. Idawene said, “We have followed closely, your administration since your assumption of office early this year and as an organization geared towards advancing and promoting the MORE Agenda of His Excellency, Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, Governor of our dear State, Delta, we are pleased with how you have keyed into His MORE Agenda and made it a way of life, in your policies and actions, as a Local Government Chairman in Delta State.
“Particularly, we are happy how you have emulated His Excellency’s Innovation in Governance. To this end, the integrity Leadership/Solidarity Summit, presents this award to you, Hon Emmanuel Chinye, as Innovative Chairman of the Year, on this Day, December 18th, 2024. Congratulations.”
Accepting the honour, Hon Chinye appreciated the Integrity Group of Delta State for finding him worthy to be honoured.
Chinye described the award as indeed Special and prestigious and said it has spurred him into committing more efforts in the translation of his vision of rebuilding Aniocha North into action for the good of Ndi Aniocha North.
The Council boss appreciated the State Governor for his proactive and sincere governance of the State, saying that his MORE Agenda which he noted his administration keyed in when they came in, has resulted in tremendous MORE GAINS for the people of the area.
He said, indeed Aniocha North has taken a new look, even as he revealed that some of the people oriented projects awarded by the Local Government recently have been completed with some, ongoing.
He maintained his administration’s commitment to the completion in February, the ongoing construction of the Issele-Uku Ultra Modern Afor Main Market, where over 500 shops with modern amenities would be provided at completion.
Hon. Chinye also disclosed that arrangements have also been concluded for the construction of People Oriented Aniocha North Ultra Modern Legislative Building with a modern Legislative Chamber, office for the Leader, Constituency Offices for the 20 Councillors as well as offices for the Clark and legislative officers of the Council.
While dedicating the award to Ndi Aniocha North, Hon Emma Chinye appreciated them for their support, cooperations and prayers and assured he would continue to be relentless in his commitment and determination to bring about meaningful development that will continue to usher in peace, unity and progress in Aniocha North.
