“We are branding and beautifying the three gateways to Aniocha North. Once you enter from Asaba or from Ika, it becomes obvious you are in a new Aniocha North.

“When we came in, the Issele-Uku axial road, just after the city gate to the centre of Issele-Uku by RainOil Petrol filling station, was in a very deplorable State, we were able to rehabilitate with asphalt overlay, the bad portions of the road to the overall betterment of residents of Aniocha North.

It was a promise we made to them and today we are happy that we were able to put necessary measures that made it possible for UBA to reopen their branch in Issele-Uku after a period of four years. As a government that is sensitive to the plight of the people, it is a thing of great joy to me that we were able to fulfill that promise.

“Again, we have been able to show love and compassion to over 200 persons in Aniocha North by way of empowering and appointing them as political aides and committee members with generous monthly salaries. It is a major action of our administration geared towards removing them from the streets thereby curbing poverty and putting food on their table.

“Honestly, it is indeed, a major project of my administration and I am very happy about it. The people are happy because they are all drawn from all the communities in Aniocha North. Every community in Aniocha North was represented in the appointment.

“We are working with all the security agencies and our respected traditional rulers in the various communities to curtail the activities of herdsmen and other criminal elements in the area.

Salaries are being paid as at when due, imprest to run the various offices effectively have been restored, dilapidated structures for conducive workplace environment are being rehabilitated and the entire council premises is undergoing rebranding and beautification to befit a Local Government Council Secretariat.
