Asaba Capital Territory Will Be Locked Down On Saturday For Environmental Sanitation Exercise, Says Ukah

Delta State Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) on Environmental Sanitation Matters, in line with the declaration of the Ministry of Environment on statewide sanitation exercise on Saturday, have declared a complete lockdown of the Asaba Capital Territory from 7am to 10am for the exercise.

According to the Director General of Delta State Capital Territory Development Agency (DSCTDA), Chief Patrick Ukah, there will be a total lockdown of vehicular and pedestrian movements in the territory.

Residents are expected to cut the grasses around their premises, clear the drainages in front of their houses and keep their environment clean.

Waste disposal vehicles will move round the affected areas to collect the resultant refuse and dispose

Seven Mobile Courts will sit in different locations to try defaulters.

Only those on essential services are exempted from this restriction order.
