I’ll Interface With Traditional Rulers Towards Rebuilding Aniocha North – Emma Chinye

Chairmanship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Aniocha North in the forthcoming Local Government election in Delta State, Hon. Emma Chinye has pledged to regularly interface with the traditional rulers in Aniocha North towards his vision of rebuilding the Local Government Area.

Hon Chinye spoke on Thursday, June 27, 2024, during a consultative meeting with the Aniocha North Traditional Rulers Committee at their Secretariat in Issele-Uku, the administrative headquarters of the Local Government Area.

The Chairmanship hopeful was led to the meeting by the immediate past Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, the Majority Leader and member representing Aniocha North State Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Engr. Emeka Nwaobi, Director General, Aniocha North PDP Campaign Organization, Hon. Dr. Jaunty Okwudi, the Secretary, Hon. Ndubuisi Osemene, the State Wealth and Job Creation Officer; Comrade Ifeanyi Egwunyenga and a member of the Campaign Council, Engr. Fidel Onwodi

Chinye said he is coming in as the Chairman for the whole of Aniocha North and not a candidate for any one person or group of persons, noting that traditional rulers being critical in security and development at the grassroots would be instrumental in his administration when inaugurated as the Executive Chairman of the Local Government.

He lamented the backwardness of the Area despite its first position in the State, attributing it to a daft of leadership acumen at the Local Government level; and he assured that, using his experience and contact with personalities at the Federal and State levels, as well as renowned Private Investors, he would sure garner professional and technical assistance to mainstream his vision of Rebuilding Aniocha North through G.A.I.N.S.

“I have had the vision from the beginning to rebuild Aniocha North. May be because of my background, coming from the private sector, I have been able to see that some things are wrong with our leadership of the Local Government.

“Most times it is not the Chairman of the Council that matters, but the personalities around. The Chairman of the Council most times, does not have a say in the governance of the Local Government.

“Thank God that today the whole of Aniocha North PDP in their wisdom brought me out for the onerous task of being the Executive Chairman of our dear Local Government. No one person will say I brought Emma Chinye. Therefore, I will, by the grace of God, represent the whole of Aniocha North,” Hon Chinye assured.

The renowned politician also assured that his administration, when inaugurated, would be proactive in the implementation of his G.A.I.N.S mantra, promising not to just be sitting in the office as the Executive Chairman, but to embark on visits to the traditional rulers in their various communities to know their needs. He averred that knowing the peculiar needs of each of the communities would go a long way in helping his administration in the provision of impactful projects to them.

The Traditional Rulers Committee, led by its Protem Chairman, His Royal Majesty, Agbogidi Obi Ezedinbu Emmanuel Nkebakwu lll, Obi of Ugboba, later offered their Royal blessing to the Chairmanship Candidate, Hon. Emma Bazim Chinye.
