The People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Aniocha North Local Government Area, Delta State, has put machinery in motion to commence vigorous campaigns for the 2024 Local Government Election in the 18 communities in the area.
According to the election campaign itinerary made available to Journalists on Wednesday by the Chairman, Media and Publicity Committee of the Campaign Council, Dr Ifeanyi Michael Osuoza, the campaigns will run for a total of eight days.
The itinerary indicated that Campaigns will be flagged off on Monday, June 24, 2024, at Obior community by 12 noon, thereafter, the Campaign trail will move to Idumuje-Ugboko by 2pm and Onicha-Ugbo by 4pm same day.
On the second day which is on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, the campaign trail will be at Aniofu by 12 noon prompt where they will spend two hours and move to Idumuje-Unor by 2pm and then Onicha-Uku in the evening at exactly 4pm.
The Party in the itinerary also specified that on the third day of the campaign which is Saturday, June 29, 2024, the Campaign trail will visit Ugbodu by 12noon, Ukwu-Nzu by 2pm and Idumu-Ogo by 4pm while on Monday, July 1, 2024, which is the Fourth day of the Campaign, will see the trail moving to Ubulubu, Ugboba and Obomkpa by 12noon, 2pm and 4pm respectively.
Wednesday, July 3, 2024, the fifth day of the campaign, Ogodo, Ezi and Onicha-Olona will have their turn by 12noon, 2pm and 4pm respectively and on the sixth day, Thursday, 4th July, 2024, Issele-Mkpitime will be visited by the campaign trail in the afternoon by 12noon and Issele- Azagba in the evening by 4pm, as indicated in the campaign time table.
Aniocha North PDP Campaign Council also pointed out that on the seventh day of the campaign, Monday, July 8, 2024, the PDP in the Local Government Area will have the honour of hosting the State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, and the State PDP Campaign Council as they visit the area to campaign for the Local Government Council election billed for Saturday, July 13, 2024.
The PDP in Aniocha North, according to the itinerary, will conclude its campaigns for the 2024 Local Government election in the area on Thursday, July 11, with a visit to Issele-Uku, the administrative headquarters of the local government area by 2pm.
