Anioma Delta Baptist Conference Ordains New Ministers …Rev Dr Anyasi Urges Newly Ordained To Desire Jesus Christ Kind Of Love 

Anioma Delta Baptist Conference of the Nigerian Baptist Convention on Saturday, October 13, 2023, ordained Six Pastors into full Ministry of the Nigerian Baptist Convention.

The consecration service held at the Victory Baptist Church, Asaba, Delta State was officiated by the Conference President and Spiritual Leader of the Anioma Delta Baptist Conference, Rev Dr Paul Friday Anyasi, who represented the President of the  Nigerian Baptist Convention, Rev Dr. Israel Adelani Akanji.

Those ordained include; Rev. Efereoghene Daniel, Rev. Ejike Benson, Rev. Erueseke Godswill, Rev. Ndugbu Godspower Favour, Rev. Nuonum Helen Ufuoma and Rev. Okonye Lawrence Odoka.

The ordination was sequel to the presentation of the report of ordaining, presented by Rev. Dr. Paul Anyasi on behalf of the Convention President, taking of the pledge by the various Churches and litany of commitment by the congregation as well as motion for ordination, moved and seconded to that effect.

In his address, the Conference President, Anioma Delta Baptist Conference, Rev. Dr. Paul Anyasi charged the newly ordained ministers to acquire the love of Jesus Christ and detach their heart from all earthly affection, saying that divine love will find no place in a heart that is full of this world.

While urging them to pledge their Love to Jesus Christ and His Church, the renowned Baptist Minister called on them to also seek to provide for the flock in the light of the gospel to eternal life.

The Conference President also admonished the newly ordained ministers to always seek the divine help from the Holy Spirit towards success in their ministry and urged them to at all times defend the faith and practices of the Nigerian Baptist Convention.

Also in his homely, a lecturer and  director at the Baptist College of Theology, Obinze, Imo State, Rev. Dr. Nlemchukukwu Stephen congratulated the newly ordained ministers and described their ordination not only as a call into full ministry, but also a call beyond professionalism.

Dr. Nlemchukukwu said God in His Infinite Mercy has called them into higher challenge and responsibility, urging them not to take such divine call for granted.

While admonishing them to be good representatives of the Baptist Denomination, Dr. Nlemchuku charged them to stand for Baptist Faith, beliefs and practices and never to be a source of shame and disappointment to the Nigerian Baptist Convention.

They were later presented with their certificate of ordination by the Conference President, Anioma Delta Baptist Conference, Rev. Dr. Paul Friday Anyasi.

Assisting the Conference President in officiating at the service were the Conference Chairman, Anioma Delta Baptist Conference; Rev. Dr. Monday Opone, Conference Vice Chairman; Rev. Dr. Johnbull Atamhenwan, and Conference Pastor’s Chairman; Rev. Dr. Samkennedy Onyenekwe.

Rev. Dr. Utih Dike, Rev. Dr. Fabian Iweh and Rev. Moses Ekene Okolie are Anioma Delta Baptist conference Associations Moderators that also assisted the Conference President in officiating at the consecration service.

Highlights of the ordination service were Hymns of Praise and consecration, rendered by the Choir of Victory Baptist Church, Asaba.
