Executive Chairman of Aniocha North Local Government, Delta State, Hon. Kevin Okwechime has continued with the fulfillment of his promise of empowering Constituents of the Local Government area, who displayed uncommon loyalty to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) during the 2023 Presidential, National Assembly, Governorship and State Assembly elections, in the area.
Okwechime, on Thursday, June 4, 2023, in keeping with this commitment, provided and presented empowerment items worth Millions of Naira to some of his Constituents, who he noted, worked excellently for the party during the elections.
Items presented to the beneficiaries in a brief ceremony, held at the PDP ward 2 Party Secretariat, Onich-Ugbo, included Motor Cycles, Power Generators and Dryers.
The beneficiaries of this gesture include; Uzor Mercy from Ukwu-Nzu, Emeka Maha; Onich-Ugbo, Madubuogo Awele; Obomkpa, Isioma Anumanechi; Ogbekenu, and Okwuagu Chonam; Onich-Ugbo.
With the Council Boss at the event were the Legislative aide to the Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Mr. Mosindi Osemeke, the Local Government Supervisor for Finance and Appropriation, Hon. Eric Ekene Eziunor, the Special Adviser to the Council Chairman, Mr Kaikenechukwu Okolie, the former Chairman of PDP Ward 2, Onich-Ugbo, Mr. Chinye Stephen, Secretary PDP ward 2 Onich-Ugbo campaign council, Mr. Harrison Diji and Auditor PDP ward 2 Onich-Ugbo, Ms Nnoma Osemeke.
It will be recalled that the Council Chairman in keeping with his promise had presented such empowerment items to over 15 persons last Month.
Presenting the items to the beneficiaries, Hon. Okwechime commended them for their massive support for the PDP during the National and State elections in Aniocha North Local Government area and said that the brief ceremony was to reward them for their commitment to the party.
“This is in continuation of the fulfillment of my promise made to you during the campaigns. It was started last Month and I will continue until all that has been identified across the Local Government area, that displayed uncommon loyalty to our great party during the elections are rewarded,’ the council Boss said.
While congratulating the immediate past Governor of the State, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for finishing very strong, Okwechime felicitated Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori on behalf of the people of the Council area for his successful swearing in as the Governor of the State.
He assured that the people of the area will give his administration massive support and cooperation, for him to do more for them, even as he urged the people of the area to be relentless in their support for the PDP administration in the State.
