The authorities of Aniocha North Local Government has called on interested market men and women in Onicha-Olona and other neighbouring communities in Aniocha North Local Government area to formally indicate interest in the allotment of stalls in the newly re-constructed Olie Modern Market, Onicha-Olona.
According to a statement on Thursday, April 6, 2023, by the Secretary to the Local Government (SLG), Hon. Kennedy Okoh, the Interest Forms for the allocation of the Open Market Stalls in the modern market are now available for sale to all at a nonrefundable fee of N1000 (One Thousand Naira) only.
The Council further announced in the statement that the forms which are available for collection in the office of the Secretary to the Local Government at the Council Secretariat, Issele-Uku or the Office of the President General, Onicha – Olona Development Union, Onicha-Olona, should be filled and returned to the point of collection within three (3) days.
The Local Government also, instructively noted that whereas obtaining the interest form does not guarantee allocation, the collection fee of N1000 (One Thousand Naira) paid, remains nonrefundable.
Meanwhile, the Executive Chairman of Aniocha North Local Government, Hon. Kevin Okwachime will be commissioning the Onicha-Olona Olie Modern Market built by the Local Government and Reconstructed by Dr. Doris Ochei Foundation.
the event is scheduled for Easter Monday, April 10, 2023.
According to a statement by the Secretary to the Local Government (SLG), Hon. Kennedy Okoh, the ceremony will be held at the Olie Modern Market Arena, Abuanor Roundabout, Onicha-Olona, beginning at 10am.
The general public within the Local Government area are requested to attend the inauguration of the market which the statement noted to be strategically important as a stimulus of the rural economy of Onicha-Olona and the contiguous communities.
