Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu earlier today, Tuesday, December 20, 2022, presented a motorized wheelchair to a physically challenged person, Mr. Okwuniazo Kenneth Konwe from Akwukwu-Igbo, Oshimili North Local Government Area, Delta State.
Elumelu was represented by his Senior Legislative Assistant, Sir Anthony Anyaegbunem, as well as his Legislative Assistant, Ms. Bridget Modebe, at the brief, but highly emotional ceremony, held at Okwuniazo’s family house, Ogbeni quarters in Akwukwu-Igbo.
The presentation of the wheelchair to Okwuniazo Kenneth, was in fulfillment of the Minority Leader’s promise, made when he met the physically challenged, during the recently concluded Delta North PDP ward campaign at Akwukwu-Igbo.
Receiving the wheelchair, a visibly elated Mr Okwuniazo, deeply appreciated Hon Elumelu for the motorized wheelchair and said his heart was full of joy, for the fact that his dream has come true.
Mr. Okwuniazo described the Minority Leader, as a man of great integrity, and a worthy friend who has remained connected to the less privileged and committed to their plights, even as he prayed God to continue to keep and sustain the Rt. Honourable Minority Leader.
Okwuniazo’s uncommon expression of joy attracted elders and members of his quarters in Akwukwu-Igbo who also joined in appreciation and prayers for Elumelu.
