The wife of the traditional ruler of Ezi Kingdom in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State, HRM, Obogwu Eze Mohanyem has restated her avid commitments toward good health care for her people in Ezi.
This she demonstrated on Saturday 27th October, 2019 at Ezi where she formally flagged off her free diabetic/high blood pressure diagnosis and treatment for the people of the Community.
The Medical programme which had a Medical doctor, Dr. Esther Okokhere from the Federal Medical Centre, Asaba attended to over 20 patients who were diagnosed of diabetics and high blood pressure.
In an interview with cshowcasenews.com, the sponsor, HRM, Obogwu Eze Mohanyem said that the program was her way of contributing her quota to the health care and development of the people of Ezi, saying that the health of the people is paramount to her as the Queen of the kingdom.
The Queen who is a medical practitioner revealed that she has been on it for some time now and added that the Saturday event was a way of taking it to a greater level where more people who are not aware of their health status could come and be diagnosed free for blood sugar and high blood pressure.
She said that the programme is once every month where a doctor and other medical personals will be available free to attend to the health needs of the people, even as he lamented the non availability of a medical doctor in the only Primary health care centre located in the community.
The elegant and beautiful wife of Ezi Monarch who is also the Nnediohanma of Ezi therefore called on relevant authorities in the state to endeavour to deploy a medical doctor to the Primary Health Care Centre in Ezi, noting that it will be highly beneficial to the community.
Also speaking with cshowcasenews.com, the traditional ruler of Ezi, HRM, Agbogidi Emmanuel Mohanyem, Obi of Ezi Kingdom commended her Queen for the medical outreach and said that she has continued to demonstrate profound love for her people in Ezi, saying that her passion has led her into committing her personal resources and time towards ensuring good health care for the people of Ezi.
Speaking with some of the patients, they commended the wife of the Obi for her kind gesture and said that she has continued to show love, kindness and humility, even as they described her as a great mother for all.
The medical outreach also included health talk where basic health procedures and hygiene were explained to the participants.
