It was glamour, glint, influence and display of the rich cultural heritage of the people of Issele-Mkpitime in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State, on Saturday 8th September, 2018, when an accomplished businessman cum politician, Chief Paul Ngbanwa, an illustrious son of the community gave out in marriage her beautiful, elegant daughter, Daisy Nneka Ngbanwa to her heart throb, according to native law and custom.
Chief Ngbanwa, a known community leader with a heart of generosity, used the opportunity to display his hospitality instinct as he successfully hosted his in-laws from Anambra State led by the highly influential Father of the Groom, Mazi Elder Nwankwo, a renowned businessman, to a rousing and unprecedented reception.
The beautiful young Daisy was in her full element; visibly joyful with her captivating smiles, exuding love and confidence throughout the duration of the event with her very beautiful friends surrounding her, as she wait earnestly ,to be taken away by the love of her heart, the very handsome George Frank Nwankwo.
The highly charismatic Frank who came in early enough with his parents, relatives and friends, with high hope was not disappointed when he sighted the love of his heart, Daisy from his hiding position, prompting him to express great joy when finally Daisy, customarily was handed over to him as her beloved wife having located him from his hiding position.
Prayers were thereafter offered for the couple by the Father of the bride, Chief Sir Paul Ngbanwa flanked by his beautiful wife, Chief Lady Edith Ngbanwa.
The Impressive ceremony which was held at the Issele-Mkptime palatial home of Chief Paul Ngbanwa was graced by the Honourable Member representing Aniocha North State Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Engr. Emeka Nwaobi and the Senior Special Assistant to the State Governor on Peace Building, Conflict Resolution and Urban Renewal, Hon. Chief Jaunty Okwudi.
Chief Paul Ngbanwa, despite being a chieftain of the APC has continued to maintain his contacts and friends in other political Parties including the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP as a great patriot that he is.
Also at the event was the Chairman of APC in Aniocha North, Sir Mathew Chinye, leaders of the party, which included Sir Vincent Ugbelese, Mr. Nkem Osu, and Executive members of the Party in the Area.
Others who witnessed the event included, Mr. Benedeth Azu, Mr. Morgan Okoh, Dr. Norton Okoh, Chief Frank Ogboa, Chief Odebie, Dr. Emeka Okoli, Mazi Ernest Nwankwo, Rev. Samuel Okolo, Mazi Alfred Uchime and Chief Anwoju amongst others.
In a chat with cshowcasenews.com, Mazi Elder Nwankwo expressed overwhelming joy over the marriage of his beloved son to the wife of his youth, while describing the day as beautiful, fantastic and blissful, even as he commended the people of Issele-Mkpitime for maintaining and sustaining their culture and tradition.
He admonished the couple to commit their lives and ways to the Lord God almighty, affirming that God who he noted is the author of Marriage will ensure that their union is prosperous, wonderful and worthy of emulation.
“Issele-Mkpitime people are very cordial, hospitable. I like their culture, they keep to their culture, they observe their culture and they don’t sale their culture as many other people do.
“And I must tell you that Chief Ngbanwa and his beloved wife has been so wonderful to my family, I regard knowing them as the lord’s doing. They have been fantastic to me. I have never seen such a loving and humble family,” Mazi Nwankwo said.
Also speaking with cshowcasenews.com, Chief Sir. Paul Ngbanwa described the ceremony as his happiest moment, stressing that it is a thing of great pride giving out his first daughter out in marriage to the husband, noting that it is an unprecedented blessing to his household.
“Daisy has remained a very good girl; she has remained a pride to me and my wife. It is a great honour giving her out in marriage. She has never disappointed us and we have decided to accord her due regard, respect and honour.
“My prayer is that God in his infinite mercy will bless them with children and the good things of life and above all keep and lead them into making heaven,” He prayed.
Mr. Azuh and Dr. Okoh, distinguished sons of Issele-Mkptime also in a chat congratulated Chief Paul Ngbanwa and the Wife, Chief Lady Edith Ngbanwa on the auspicious occasion of the marriage of their daughter and prayed that God will sustain and bless the marriage.
Guests were later treated to a lavished reception.
